Everest Base Camp Heli Tour combines chopper flight with seven days trek and includes the most scenic region of the Everest. Its also itinerary consists of the main highlights, such as Mt. Everest, Kalapathar, and the Everest Base Camp. Precisely speaking, its itinerary includes chopper flight from Gorakshep to Kathmandu. As you fly to Kathmandu, you do not have to walk tiring downhill to Lukla, as well as you do not have to worry about flight cancellation in Lukla due to lousy mountain weather. Before starting the Everest Heli Tour, you will be flown to Lukla by a small aircraft, from where the trekking trail leads you to the base camp. In between these two ends, it takes you to the significant settlements of the Everest Region, such as Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Syangboche, Tengboche, Dingboche, and Lobuche. It also includes rugged and steep trekking trail, alpine landscapes, and shows you the non – stop view of Mt. Everest, that is, both the glimpse and extensive views of Mt. Everest. Also, it shows you the stunning view of the Khumbu Glacier. As you enjoy this view, you also see the Everest Climbers preparing. Then the trekking trail takes you to Kalapathar, a viewpoint that offers the unbelievable panoramic view of the Himalayas of the Everest Region. It is a black stone, which provides a close – up view of Mt. Everest. This view comes under the list of your final goal, and after seeing this view, all you want to do is fly to Kathmandu in a Heli.

Outline Itinerary

Day 01 – Arrival in Kathmandu (overnight stay in a hotel)

Day 02 – Fly to Lukla and Trek to Phakding (2652m) (Distance: 8 KM), Duration: 3 hours (breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided; overnight stay in a hotel)

Day 03 – Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m) (Distance: 12 KM), Duration: 6 hours (breakfast, lunch, and dinner  are provided, overnight stay in a hotel)

Day 04 – Acclimatization Day – Hike to Everest View Hotel (Distance: 4 KM), Duration: 4 Hours(breakfast, lunch,    and dinner are provided; overnight stay in a hotel)

Day 05- Namche to Tengboche (3860m) (Distance:11 KM), Duration: 5 Hours (breakfast, lunch, and dinner are        provided; overnight stay in a hotel)

Day 06 – Tengboche to Dingboche (4410m ( Distance: 11-12 KM) Duration: 5 Hours(breakfast, lunch, and dinner    are provided; overnight stay in a hotel)

Day 07 – Dingboche to Lobuche (4910m) and the Everest Base Camp (5364m) and return to Gorakshep Duration:    8 Hours(breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided; overnight stay in a hotel)

Day 08 : Hike to Kalapathar (5550m) & return Gorak Shep to fly back to Kathmandu in a Chartered helicopter and  enjoy the farewell dinner

Day 01 - Arrival in Kathmandu (overnight stay in a hotel)

As soon as you come out of Tribhuwan International Airport, you will be received by Access the Asia. Then, it takes you to a hotel. If you have arrived at the middle of night, then you would need to take a rest. If you arrive in daytime, then you can visit Thamel area.

Day 02 - Fly to Lukla and Trek to Phakding (2652m) (Distance: 8 KM), Duration: 3 hours (breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided; overnight stay in a hotel)

You catch a morning flight to Lukla, from where you start your Everest Base Camp Luxury Lodge Trek. Landing at Tenzing Hillary Airport means landing at one of the extreme airports of the world. But the flight to there shows you the beautiful view of Mountain Ranges. At the airport, Access the Asia makes a necessary arrangement. From there, you trek to Phakding. You will find the trekking trail short. This also means you will have enough time to visit monastery near Phakding.

Day 03 - Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m) (Distance: 12 KM), Duration: 6 hours (breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided; overnight stay in a hotel)

You follow the trekking trail that takes you to beautiful pine forest, the Dudh Koshi River, and the Hillary Suspension Bridge. From the trail, you will see the breath - taking view of Mt. Thamserku (6618 m). Then you enter the Sagarmatha National Park. There, you come across the villages, such as Benkar, Chumoa, Monjo and climb a steep hill to reach Namche Bazaar.

Day 04 - Acclimatization Day - Hike to Everest View Hotel (Distance: 4 KM), Duration: 4 Hours(breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided; overnight stay in a hotel)

Acclimatization means a rest day to build up your strength to walk in a higher altitude.Health experts say it is better to hike than to rest in a hotel. You will hike to visit Tourist Visitor Center, headquarters of the Sagarmatha National Park, Syangboche Airport, Everest View Hotel, and Hillary School.

Day 05- Namche to Tengboche (3860m) (Distance:11 KM), Duration: 5 Hours (breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided; overnight stay in a hotel)

The trekking trail that you follow from Namche to Tengboche is easy.The trekking trail runs by the Dudh Kosi River On the way, you see beautiful landscapes. These include mostly the view of the Himalayas. When you reach Tengboche, you will see hills and rhododendron trees. There, you visit the Tengboche Monastery. From there, you also see the breath - taking view of Ama Dablam and Mt. Everest.

Day 06 - Tengboche to Dingboche (4410m ( Distance: 11-12 KM) Duration: 5 Hours(breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided; overnight stay in a hotel)

From Tengboche, the trekking trail heads off to the Imja Khola, suspension bridge, Pangboche, and then to Dingboche. The noticebale feature of Dingboche is it has a long wall that protects crops from cold wind.It is also the place, which offers the stunning view of Lhotse and Island Peak.

Day 07 - Dingboche to Lobuche (4910m) and the Everest Base Camp (5364m) and return to Gorakshep Duration: 8 Hours(breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided; overnight stay in a hotel)

The steep trekking trail takes you to the Khumbu Glacier, the Changri Glacier, the Gorakshep Lake and ultimately to the Everest Base Camp. On the way, you will see the north ridge of Everest, including Pumori, Mahalangur, Lingtern, Khumbutse, and Nuptse. You will also see the memorial of the Indian Army Mountaineer's. When you reach the base camp, you will not see Everest, but you will see the tents of the Everest climbers, as well as the superb view of mountains, such as Nuptse, Khumbuste and Pumori.

Day 08 : Hike to Kalapathar (5550m) & return Gorak Shep to fly back to Kathmandu in a Chartered helicopter and enjoy the farewell dinner

At the break of the dawn, you start your trek to reach Kalapathar to see the panoramic view of the Himalayas. On the way, you take several photos of mountains, such as Lingtren, Khumbutse, Changtse, Everest, and Nuptse. You will find Kalapathar as a rewarding viewpoint. After enjoying the stunning view of the mountains, you return to Gorak Shep. From there, you fly to Kathmandu in a helicopter.In the evening, you will have a farewell dinner.

Day 09 - Departure(breakfast provided)

Access the Asia picks you from your hotel and takes you to Tribhuwan International Airport approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight.

Your travel insurance company must provide you Helicopter Evacuation Service. Normally, it will cost you up to US $5000 in Nepal. If you are coming to Nepal for climbing then you must do climbing insurance in your country as well. Carefully check the terms and conditions of your insurance company, especially what they cover during trekking and climbing.
