Overview
LA BUCHE PEAK CLIMBING stands high at Khumbu region showing an everlasting beauty to all. Lobuche peak Climbing has added a new rating point of pride and challenge to those who have the thrill to climb higher. There is east Lobuche with an altitude of 6119m and west Lobuche with an altitude of 6145m. We will surmount the east peak of Locubhe.
After the successful ascent by Laurence Nielson and Sherpa Ang Gyalzen on April 25, 1984, the door to Lobuche welcomes all of us to triumph it’s snowy point of pride. Lobuche East is technically difficult peak to climb in comparison to other peaks. The full of adventure and the abundance of mysterious Himalayan getup, Lobuche claims your perspiration, courage, love, passion, and enthusiasm to summit it. As you backpack for an expedition to Lobuche, on your way you will get astonished to watch the spectacular cultural and natural treasure. The flora and fauna, the high Himalayan tradition, the river, glaciers and many more will take your imagination to the next world of ecstasy and benevolence.
To make your journey a ceremony we here bring you the Lobuche East Peak climbing expedition which will take 19 days including the Everest base camp trek.
Outline Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive at Tribhuban international airport in Kathmandu and welcome program by our representative and transfer to Hotel with Bed & Breakfast plan
Day 2: Cultural tour to Bouddhanath Stupa and Hindu Cremation site / and Pre trip meeting
Day 3: Early morning flight to lukla (2840m) and trek to Phakding (2610m) 2/3 hrs walk overnight at lodge
Day 4: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m) 5/6 hrs walk overnight at lodge
Day 5: Rest day at Namche for acclimatization and Panorama view hike (3880m) 2/3 hrs walk hike overnight at lodge
Day 6: Trek from Namche to Thyngobche (3867m) 5/6 hrs walk overnight at lodge
Day 7: Trek from Tyngobche to Dingobche (4360m) 4/5 hrs walk overnight at lodge
Day 8: Rest day at Dingobche for acclimation and excursion
Day 9: Trek from Dingobuche to Labuche (4960m) 4/5 hrs walking overnight at lodge
Day 10: Trek from Everest base camp (5364m) and back to Gorakshep (5180m) 6/7 hrs overnight at lodge
Day 11: Early morning hike to Kalapather (5555m) and back down to Labuche (4960m) 5/6 hrs overnight at lodge
Day 12: Trek from Labuche to Labuche High camp (5400m) 3/4 hrs walking overnight at tent
Day 13: leisure day at Labuche High camp overnight at tent
Day 14: High Camp to summit (6119m) and back down to High camp overnight at tent
Day 15: Trek from Labuche High camp to Pangobuche (3950m) 5/6 hrs walking overnight at lodge
Day 16: Trek from Pangobche to Namche bazaar (3440m) 4/5 hrs walking overnight at lodge
Day 17: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2840m) 6/7 hrs walking overnight at lodge
Day 18: Flight back to Kathmandu 35 minutes, and transfer to hotel with Bed & Breakfast plan
Day 19: Departure from Kathmandu to your onward destination
Day 01 : Arrival at Kathmandu 1,310m
Welcome you at Tribhuvan International Airport by our representative with a company name on a placard and direct transfer to hotel in Kathmandu (3 stars). Our guide will brief you about the next day plan in a hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing at Kathmandu valley and trip meeting
On this day, cultural city guide will meet you at hotel and he/she will guide you around the Kathmandu valley and you will visit to world heritage sites Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa and other cultural and traditional areas after completion of city tour we will return back to office and meet the team and other participant members and discuss over the trip and we will give you a briefing about tour and we will make sure your all the equipment are ready and in fine condition.
Day 03: An early morning flight to Lukla from Kathmandu and trek to Phakding (2610mtrs/8563ft). Flight 30 minutes and walking 3 hours, /N at lodge
This is the day where all the treks to Everest begin. Your guide will meet you at hotel and you will be escorted to the domestic terminal of Tribhuvan International airport and take early morning flight to Lukla which is about 30 minutes from Kathmandu. In Lukla we will meet other staffs there we will set luggage for porters to carry. After that we will have a walk through the stone trails and forest observing the local villages and reach Phakding and stay overnight.
Note: All the flights to Lukla are scheduled early in the morning however sometimes due to weather problem flight may be delay at those situations we would like you to have patience.
Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m/11286ft).Walking 5/6 hours, O/N at lodge
On this day we will take breakfast at nearly 7:30 am and without out any further delay we set out for another 5-6 hours walk to Namche Bazar. On the trail we will pass through various suspension bridges and cross the Dudh Koshi River. We will encounter villages like Toktok, Banker and Monjo. Monjo is the gateway to Sagarmatha National Park our guide will complete all the necessary formalities to enter to the Sagarmatha National Park. After 15 minute walk we will arrive at Jorsale and will take lunch there after that we walk alongside the Trail of Dudh Koshi River and Bhote Koshi River and steep trails of hills. Day 05: Rest day for acclimatization and hiking upwards up to distance of 3400 to 3880 meters and back to lodge.
Although this is a rest day but actually after breakfast we will hike to Everest view point so as to keep ourselves active and adapt to climate moreover from Everest view point we will be able to view the scenic beauty of Ama Dablam, Everest, Lotse, Nuptse, Thamserku, Kongde and so on then we will return back to Namche Bazar and have lunch then if you are interested you can take a short tour of Namche Bazar. Namche Bazar is the biggest and colorful bazaar of Everest/Khumbu region. It is the hub for all the travellers and local people. There are cafes, cyber, pub, ATM’s and other local businesses. We will stay overnight at Namche.
Day 06: Trek to Tangboche (3,900m) Walking 5/6 hours. O/N at lodge
On this day after breakfast we set for another 5/6 hours walk to Tangboche from Namche. On the trail we can explore various flora and fauna and also experience the amazing view of mountains. In between we encounter Kangjuma village which is he junction and it divides the trail to Gokyo Valley and Everest base camp and cross the suspension bridge to reach Phunkitanga and there we will have lunch .After lunch we take the steep trail through the jungle of pine trees and rhododendron. Tangboche is very famous place for its Monastery and form there we can take the closer look of Mt.Everest, Lotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and so on. Overnight at Tangboche
Day 07: Trek to Dingboche (4,440m) walking 5/6 hours. O/N at lodge
After taking breakfast we will set for another hike. At first we will take a mild hike downhill for about 30 minutes to Debuche and from there we hike through the shady and lushly forest of rhododendron and pine trees. We cross river through wooden bridge and ascend up towards Pangboche village. Pangboche is Sherpa village we walk through lower Pangboche village we can see Chorten and Mani walls on this trail. From there we reach Somare village there we will have lunch and have mild walk to Dingboche.
Day 08: Rest day for acclimatization and hiking upwards up to distance of 4,440 to 4700 meters and back to lodge.
On this day we will hike up to the distance of 4600 meters for acclimatization. We can see beautiful glimpse of mountains like Makalu, Lotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam and so on. We take a tour of Dingboche village.
Day 09: Trek to Lobuche (4,910) walking 4/5 hours. O/N at lodge
After having breakfast we walk through the wide pass towards Dughla passing glaciers and Khumbu khola. On reaching Dughla we sit down for lunch after that we take the steep route for about one hour to reach Dughla pass where we can see stone graved memories of climbers who died in mountains. From there we take a one hour hike to reach Lobuche. Overnight at Lobuche
Day 10: Trek to Gorakshep (5,165m) and EBC (5,364m) total 6/7 hours walking and back to lodge.
Now we are very close to Everest Base Camp. After having an early breakfast we set for another 2-3 hours hike to Gorakshep. In between we hike through wide pass and walk through the glaciers and rocky terrains. After reaching Gorakshep we will have lunch we keep our luggage in hotel room and we take necessary items like down jacket, gloves, sunglasses, water and some snacks and hike through the glaciers and rocky terrains to Everest Base Camp. The base camp is stunningly beautiful and we can view the amazing scene of Khumbu glacier, Khumbu ice fall, and mountains like Nuptse, Khumbutse and Pumori. Overnight at Gorakshep
Day 11: Early mornings hike to Kalapather (5,555m) and trek back down to Lobuche 7/8 hours walking O/N at lodge
We wake up very early in the morning and put warm clothes and carry water and some snacks along and we hike to Kalapather. From Kalapather we can see mesmerizing view of Mount Everest, Lotse, Nuptse, Pumori, Ama Dablam and so on after that we hike back to Gorakshep and have hot tea and breakfast in hotel then put our belongings together and walk down to Lobuche. Day 12: Lobuche to High Camp (5,400m/17,712ft): 3-4 hours
Then next day we will again start our journey with full excitement and enthusiasm. We will trek to reach High camp by crossing the mesmerizing view of Lobuche glacier. The road starts with straight trail and become steeper as the way gets near to Lobuche base camp. The beautiful mountains Ama Dablam, Cholatse, Pokalde, Thamserku, Kantega and other Himalayas can be seen on the way. Then as we leave the base camp and continue our journey after a while we will reach the High Camp. At High camp we will set up our camp and our expedition guide will give us some tips and information about climbing the Lobuche peak. The expedition guide will also tell you about the necessary equipment required and how to use that equipment on the peak. The instruction given by our expedition guide will boost up you confidence to climb Lobuche peak. We will stay on tent at high camp.
Day 13: Lobuche High Camp to Summit (6119m/20,070 ft) and back to High Camp: 8-10 hours
At day 13 our wake up time will be 12 am to 1 am in the morning. We will have our breakfast at first and then get prepared for our expedition. We have to pass a rocky surface at first before we can get an ice surface. We will use the equipment as per the instruction given by our expedition leader. Then we will reach to summit after a stunning courage, perspiration and zeal to reach the summit. From summit we can see the beautiful mountains like Everest, Lhotse, Cholatse, Pumori, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and many more. We will spend some time in summit and perform some personal and group activities like taking pictures, viewing other mountains visible from the Lobuche east. Then we will leave summit and ascend to High Camp. We will stay at high camp overnight.
Day 14: leisure at High camp.
The day 14 is the most luxurious day for us as we will not be walking hours and hours like other day. We will stay at high camp and rest. We will chat about our expedition, take pictures and perform other activities. This will make our mood calm and happy. This will help to fresh our mood from the crowded work schedule of today's running society.
Day 15: Lobuche High Camp to Pangboche
At day 15 we will leave Lobuche high camp and ramble down to reach Pangboche. We will take the route of Everest Base Camp via Lobuche to reach Pangboche. We will take some rest and take lunch at Lobuche. From Lobuche we then get up and arrive at Pheriche. Then the scenic view across the way will gradually take us to Pangboche. We will stay overnight at Pangboche.
Day 16: Pangboche to Namche Bazaar
The way ahead from Pangboche is to Namche Bazaar. From Pangboche via Imja khola we will reach to Tengboche. We will eat lunch at Tengboche. The beautiful rhododendron and juniper tree will give us a smile in our bitterness to leave this beautiful place after some day's intimacy with them. We will have lunch at Tengboche and then we will get to Namche bazar. On our way if we will see different types of rare animals and birds like snow leopards, pheasants mountain goats and many more. We will stay overnight at Namche bazaar
Day 17: Trek to Lukla 2,800m) 6/7 hours walking O/N at lodge.
After breakfast we are set for the last hike to Lukla. We hike mostly down the hill crossing multiple suspension bridge following the trail of Dudh Koshi river and enjoying the surrounding environment and local villages. We take lunch at Phakding after that we hike to Lukla with a comfortable pace. Stay Overnight at Lukla.
Day 18: Flight back to Kathmandu 35 minutes, and transfer to Hotel with Bed & Breakfast plan.
We take early breakfast and are ready to fly back to Kathmandu. Arriving Kathmandu you will be escorted to hotel from our vehicle. At evening we will have farewell dinner in Nepali Traditional Restaurant.
Day 19: Departure from Kathmandu to your onward destination.
Our trek ends here, we would like to thank you for visiting Nepal and it was great for our company to do a wonderful trek with you. Our guide will escort you to Tribhuvan International Airport 2-3 hours before the scheduled flight time.
