Besides mountain views on this trek and climb to Yala Peak entering into beautiful forested areas of tall rhododendron-oaks-magnolia-pines and fir tree lines with bamboo grooves where endangered and elusive Red Panda some time spotted on walks around Langtang areas.

Yala Peak Climb starts with a drive from Kathmandu to reach high Central Himalaya region of Langtang at Rasuwa district and then heading into high hills and deep river gorge to reach wide and scenic Langtang valley.

At Langtang valley in Kyanjin Gompa facing grand views of mountain range then heading for the climb towards the east of Langtang valley for classic and exciting climbs on top Yala Peak.

Outline Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu and Transfer to Hotel

Day 02: In Kathmandu with sightseeing with trek briefing and preparation

Day 03: Drive to Syabrubesi 1,470 m via Trisuli and Dhunche town 1,950 – 06 hrs.

Day 04: Trek to Lama Hotel 2,350 m – 06 hrs.

Day 05: Trek to Langtang village 3, 307m – 05 hrs.

Day 06: Trek to Kyanjin Gompa 3,749m – 04 hours.

Day 07: Rest-Day for acclimatization at leisure for the hike around.

Day 08: Trek to Yala Peak Base Camp 4,400 m / 14,435 ft – 05 hours.

Day 09: Trek & Climb to Yala Summit 5,732 m / 18,806 ft to base camp.

Day 10: Trek to Kyanjin Gompa – 05 hrs.

Day 11: Trek to Lama Hotel 2,350m – 06 hours walk.

Day 12: Trek to Syabrubesi – 06 hours walk.

Day 13: Drive back to Kathmandu – 06 hrs.

Day 14: International Departure for homeward bound.

Physical fitness
Yala Peak is the most simple and non-technical climbing peak which is easy and suitable for anyone with trekking experience. Even though it is easy, one needs to have a proper physical status. The peak climbing of Yala is ideal for beginners, and veteran climbers.

Lodging and food
We will be greeting you at International airport and make your stay possible at one of the 3-star hotels in the town. While you are on the Trek, you will be staying at the Hotels and Teahouse / Lodge with few nights camping. The stay may be twin sharing or single(depends on what you want and it is difficult to find a separate bedroom at high above). Likewise, Access the Asia will take you to the best possible place where you can enjoy the hygienic Nepali as well as International food. Accommodation with breakfast, lunch and dinner at different areas during trekking and in camping as per the holiday plan will be provided. For the Lunch and Dinner, while staying at Kathmandu, you are responsible for the payment. There will be the farewell dinner with every guest after they return form their Trek.

Best Time to travel
March to May and September – November is the best for climbing Yala Peak.

Generally, we will be traveling by Bus. If you want to go in private vehicles, then we can make it possible but it may take extra charges. Flights are also available.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu and Transfer to Hotel.

On reaching Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport, received by our guides and staff then transfer to your hotel in the hub of Kathmandu city, after getting refreshed join with other members of Yala Peak Climb, where our guide will brief you regarding trek and climb, do’s and don’ts, Nepalese culture, lodge on route trek with full information to make your stay with us enjoyable and memorable, evening welcome dinner at typical Nepalese restaurant with folk-cultural program as entertainment during dinner.

Day 02: Kathmandu with sightseeing tour, trek briefing and preparations.

Morning after breakfast at given time for sightseeing tour, our city guides will meet you at the hotel for interesting sightseeing tour leading you in the heart of Kathmandu at old Durbar (palace) square of great historical importance includes Temple of Kumari (Living young virgin Goddess) Kastamandap Temple where Kathmandu name derived from, a temple built with the wood of a single tree, tour of old palace during the reign of Malla and late Shah kings. Tour leads to famous landmark of Nepal at Swayambhunath Stupa of more than 2,500 years old a Buddhist Chaitya or Stupa with all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. Afternoon visit holy Hindu Temple of Pashupatinath adorned with silver doors and golden tiers roofed pagoda a popular and famous temple where thousands of pilgrims visits every year in the month of February on Shiva Rartri (Lord Shiva birth anniversary). After an interesting and exciting tour of world heritage sites return back to hotel for Yala Peak Climb preparation.

Day 03: Drive to Syabrubesi 1,470 m via Trisuli and Dhunche town 1,950 - 06 hrs.

Morning begins with overland drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche and Syabrubesi leading past Himalayan foothills, reaching warm sub-tropical area, journey continues towards uphill on long winding road towards cooler area past many farm villages and town to reach at Dhunche, at the height of 1,950 m. Headquarter and main town of Rasuwa district of Langtang area where Langtang National Park begins. From Dhunche drive leads downhill on zig-zag road to reach at Syabrubesi village the home of Tamang tribe people in the shadow of Ganesh and Langtang Himal, overnight in a nice cozy lodge at Syabrubesi.

Day 04: Trek to Lama Hotel 2,200m - 06 hrs.

The trek from Syabrubesi leads to climbs for a while but the rest of the walk is gradual on the winding uphill trail through terraced farm fields and villages, as the trail descends and joins the path coming from upper Syabru near Riverside and place called Bamboo. Walk from here leads into cool forested area in a gorge following the torrential glacial Trisuli River upstream, as the path follows with a climb in the cool shade of rhododendron and oaks forest after a good walk of near six hours reaching a small clearing at Lama-Hotel for overnight stop.

Day 05: Trek to Langtang village 3, 307m - 05 hrs.

From here few hours of morning walks leads to Ghoretabela for lunch stop amidst lovely forest of pines, hemlocks and rhododendron from here onwards you can feel the altitude also. After a pleasant break here, trek continues on the trail to Langtang and its beautiful valley, the walk for an hour is pleasant in the cool shade of alpine woodland, after a small stream leaving the tree line behind the path leads uphill for an hour, then walk gets better on gradual trail with few ups and down to Langtang village for overnight stop.
