You leave your hotel early morning with a packed breakfast from the hotel you stayed. You are picked up from your hotel and you set out for a drive to the domestic section of TIA airport where you take an early morning scenic flight to Lukla. You can have an aerial view of panoramic mountains and birds view of the high hills and mountain ranges.
The thrilling and exciting flight to Lukla is an amazing journey from where you start your first hike to Phakding. It covers the forest areas, small villages and rivers on the way. Lukla is situated at an altitude of 2840m whereas Phakding is at an altitude of 2640m.

The exciting part of this trek is that you pass through the Lhotse glacier. Along with the moraines and rocky terrain. It seems quite challenging, however the stunning views of the high altitude landscapes and the Himalayas make you forget all your tiredness.
During this trek, the trekkers must be equipped with the necessary gears for the rocky terrains and the changing weather. The trekking leader provides you all the necessary precautions to be taken. The final step to reach to the summit involves the steep climb up a snow ridge that urges for the use of fixed ropes and crampons. Island peak also known as Imja Tse lies in the Everest Region of Nepal. It is called Island peak because it is surrounded by the ice and glaciers as seen from Dingboche. It is located at an altitude of 6189 m (20,305 feet) in the Khumbu region, one of the best destinations for many trekkers.
